CHI TIẾT SẢN PHẨM
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a versatile thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene. Characterized by its linear molecular structure with minimal branching, HDPE exhibits a high degree of crystallinity, typically ranging from 60% to 80%. This structural regularity imparts exceptional tensile strength, rigidity, and chemical resistance, while maintaining a favorable strength-to-density ratio. With a density typically between 0.941 and 0.965 g/cm³, HDPE outperforms its low-density counterpart in mechanical performance and thermal stability.
The material demonstrates outstanding resistance to a wide spectrum of corrosive substances, including acids, bases, alcohols, and hydrocarbon solvents, making it suitable for aggressive chemical environments. Its melting point ranges from 120°C to 180°C, depending on crystallinity, and it exhibits a glass transition temperature around -100°C, ensuring robust low-temperature impact resistance. HDPE is also characterized by excellent electrical insulating properties and low moisture absorption.
Processing of HDPE is readily accomplished through injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, and extrusion techniques. Common applications encompass blow-molded containers, pipes and fittings for water and gas distribution, geomembranes for environmental containment, and corrosion-resistant chemical storage tanks. Additionally, its recyclability and relatively low production cost have established HDPE as a material of choice across numerous industrial sectors. Recent advancements include the development of bimodal resins and crosslinked variants for enhanced performance in demanding engineering applications, solidifying HDPE's position as a critical engineering polymer in the circular economy paradigm.
